This was the trigger when we first started Wakitu. As working parents, we went through and can relate to the struggles of expensive childcare. Parents should not be paying more than a third of their salary towards childcare a month and yet they have no choice but to do so.
Wakitu Out-of-School Club aims to provide parents with quality childcare at an affordable price. Childcare that is consistent, flexible, secure, and safe. Wakitu will also provide an environment for children to develop holistically.
Our Out-of-school club aims to cover every parent's need, whether full-time, part-time or with other family commitments.
Wakitu aims to provide working parents with the opportunity to build their professional life around their children. That reduces stress and takes the pressure off parents, arriving late or stressed to work or leaving early or between work to pick up the children.
The manager will hold level 3 NVQ qualifications. All staff will have safeguarding training, with a designated lead for child protection. All staff will be Pediatric First Aid trained. They will hold full food hygiene certificates and will be enhanced DBS checked. We are OFSTED registered.
We want to give your children the best start to the day with a great, healthy breakfast and fun activities. Then end their day with a light, healthy meal, fun activities, and themed days, with added extras along the way. Wakitu strives to offer an inclusive environment, free of any discrimination. All children are welcomed regardless of SEN, Ethnicity, Socioeconomic background, or gender. We will do this by making Wakitu personal to each child.
